Compact telecontrol technology
In order to meet the diverse and growing requirements in telecontrol technology, we develop durable telecontrol systems that meet the highest quality standards. We continuously optimise these in close cooperation with our customers – the result is top products such as our compact SAE FW-5 field device. This micro telecontrol station comes from our series5 product range and, like all telecontrol systems from SAE IT-systems, is characterised by high performance, high functionality and a long service life.
The SAE-FW-5 offers powerful solutions for telecontrol, substation control and automation technology in combination with the highest quality and functionality. The compact field device in a top-hat rail housing contains all the monitoring and control components that a high-performance system needs to provide. The quantity structure of the SAE-FW-5 can be perfectly adapted to the conditions of the respective application using expansion modules for input and output (I/O) as well as interface modules, enabling customised solutions for almost any task.

In Verbindung mit der innovativen Parametriersoftware setIT setzt das FW-5 Maßstäbe hinsichtlich intuitiver Projektkonfiguration sowie zügiger Inbetriebnahme. The numerous fields of application of the FW-5
The modular expandability and outstanding combinability with external components enable flexible use in numerous fields of application. The FW-5 can be customised with up to twelve extension modules to suit your requirements. This makes it a customised solution for almost any task. The net-line FW-5 micro telecontrol station can be used in the following areas, for example:
- Field device in substations with protective device coupling
- Intelligent local network station with integration of network analysis systems, earth fault and short-circuit indicators for outgoing circuits
- Control box for direct marketing and control energy
- Feed-in management in EEG systems
- Intelligent measuring point for wide-range control in distribution grids
- Monitoring of pipe-bound media and infrastructure systems
Complete ready-to-connect solutions
On request, the FW-5 can also be purchased as a complete ready-to-connect solution. Depending on the specifications and functional requirements, we put together individually designed, ready-to-use small systems. In addition to the telecontrol unit, these usually also include all other necessary components, such as an uninterruptible power supply, communication modules, relays, transfer terminal strips and more. The components are usually installed in enclosures from Eaton or Rittal.
