Designed to meet the needs of water network operators and localities, SOFREL YDRIX combines integrated 4G communication, cybersecurity and process control in a single product.
Equipped with 6DI (Digital Inputs), 2AI (Analog Inputs), 4DO (Digital Outputs) and serial communication ports RS485/RS485i and RS232, making it easy to add Input/Output expansion modules, SOFREL YDRIX RTU can be very easily interfaced with pumps, valves, sensors and modbus equipment present at the hydraulic facilities.
Fully modular and offering “water business” function blocks, SOFREL YDRIX adapts to all types and sizes of installation.
SOFREL YDRIX users will especially appreciate the 2G/3G/4G modem and the 2 Ethernet ports fully integrated into the case.
The setIT configuration software makes it very simple and graphical to configure the product, its communication modems, the modbus interfaces, the RTU inputs/outputs and the I/O extension modules. For greater efficiency, the software includes a help feature and diagnostic tool to assist the user during every step of the equipment configuration
The installation processes are published in a process control suite included in SOFREL YDRIX. The very powerful suite is compatible with the IEC 61131-3 standard and offers the standard programming languages ST, Ladder, FBD and SFC (Grafcet).
The RTU has a vast library of function blocks dedicated to the water business (volume calculations, flow rates, PID regulation function, etc.).
For waste water lifting stations in particular, the software has all the units required to control the pumps and pump efficiency. Process control technicians can use a wide range of test, simulation and online beginner tools to develop and adapt their programs on site or remotely.
Interoperability with the TCP/IP networks and operators’ supervisors is guaranteed by the standard communication protocols DNP3, IEC-60870-5-104 and IEC-60870-5-101 supported by SOFREL YDRIX. Based on these protocols, the RTU fits perfectly into the existing telemetry and SCADA networks and communicates securely with any standardised industrial supervisors.
SOFREL YDRIX RTU is “full IP”; it communicates via an integrated 2G/3G/4G modem or its Ethernet links to the SCADA Central Station.
These multiple systems allow for redundancy between the communication media. In the event of a failure of the main telecommunications network, SOFREL YDRIX automatically switches to secondary support. Operators can rely on this system to never lose information and to recover all their network data in real time.
Cybersecured, SOFREL YDRIX supports VPN server protocols that ensure the security of the infrastructure. RTUs and operational supervisors are authenticated and certified. The data exchanged between its connected systems is fully encrypted.
The SOFREL LS and LT data loggers located on sites isolated from the network can communicate with a remote SOFREL YDRIX. The RTU receives the information from the data loggers and decides whether to fill the reservoir while also taking into account the needs of the network and electricity price periods. They also allow remote control of pressure on the water distribution network.
